Oil and Gas – Accounts Payable Specialist
Trinity Petroleum Management, LLC provides outsourced accounting, land and systems services to the upstream oil and gas industry. Our clients range from start-up companies to well established operators whose growth strategies emphasize drilling, production and acquisitions. TPM is currently filling the position of AP Specialist in our Denver Office.
Overview:
Accounts payable personnel perform duties related to the timely processing and payment of invoices for our clients that have both operated and non-operated properties. This position will report directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, sort, code and match invoices and check requests
- Prepare, scan and index invoices into the DocVue System
- Enter, upload and prepare invoices for payment in the Excalibur System
- Track and process expense reports and recurring expenses
- Enter electronic transfers and manual check payments into the system
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and submit positive pay files to the bank
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues that may arise
- Maintain electronic and paper vendor files and reports
- Correspond with clients and vendors responding to inquiries as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of upstream oil and gas accounts payable experience
- Excalibur and DocVue Software experience preferred
- Proficient in data entry and management of workload
- Good organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- Problem-solving team player with the ability to work between multiple clients and deadlines
- Associates degree preferred but not required

Oil and Gas – Client Manager
Trinity Petroleum Management, LLC provides outsourced accounting, land, engineering and systems services to the upstream oil and gas industry. Our clients range from start-up companies to well established operators whose growth strategies emphasize drilling, production and acquisitions. TPM is currently filling the position of Client Manager in our Denver Office.
Overview:
The Client Manager is the primary advocate for the client and is the liaison between the client and the various accounting disciplines within TPM. This position functions as the clients’ lead at TPM and works to ensure that the monthly accounting processes occur to the clients’ specifications and timeline. This position will report to the VP of Accounting Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the monthly accounting cycle to the clients specifications and timeline
- Prepare various monthly accrual, amortization and depreciation entries, ensure that AP, AR, JIB, Revenue and Compliance reporting is timely processed by TPM personnel and posted to the general ledger for the monthly and annual closes
- Perform analysis, reconciliations and produce various statements and reports for the clients, which may include financial reporting and lease operating statements
- Support the clients annual financial audit needs including joint venture audits
- Work on special projects as requested including acquisitions and divestitures
- Communicate regularly with clients via email, phone and onsite visits
- Maintain internal controls and be compliant with the clients control procedures
- Maintain good communications and working relationship with TPM staff
- Maintain good supporting documentation and support of other CM’s
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas accounting, must have solid financial reporting experience (monthly/quarterly/annual reporting)
- Preference given to candidates with Excalibur or Bolo experience including Financial Sub-Routines and ADHOC query report writing
- Must have a solid working knowledge of oil/gas operational accounting, public accounting experience a plus and may substitute for some requirements above
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) proficiency required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Self-starting, flexible, detailed and results oriented team player
Compensation:
- Estimated pay range $130,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
